Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (Japanese: 青春ブタ野郎はバニーガール先輩の夢を見ない, Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai) is a Japanese light novel series written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi. The series began publication in April 2014 under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint, with a total of 15 volumes. The story follows high school student Sakuta Azusagawa who encounters the famous actress Mai Sakurajima, dressed in a bunny girl outfit, in a library where only he can see her. As the story unfolds, Sakuta meets other girls suffering from "Adolescence Syndrome" and helps them with their problems. The series has been adapted into manga, anime, and films. The anime series aired in 2018, and a theatrical anime film was released in 2019. Two more films were released in 2023, and a TV anime adaptation of the University Student Arc is scheduled for 2025. The series is popular for its unique concept of "Adolescence Syndrome" and its detailed portrayal of the psychology of teenagers.
