Made in Abyss (Movies)

The Made in Abyss movie series consists of three films. The first, "Journey's Dawn," (Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn) is a compilation of the first eight episodes of the TV anime's first season, with new opening scenes. It depicts Riko and Reg's initial descent into the Abyss and their encounter with the White Whistle Ozen. The second film, "Wandering Twilight," (Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight) summarizes the subsequent storyline, focusing on Riko and Reg's challenges in the Great Fault of the third layer, their meeting with Nanachi in the fourth layer, and their efforts to save Riko after she's pierced by a poisonous spike. The third film, "Dawn of the Deep Soul," (Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul) presents an original story, depicting Riko, Reg, and Nanachi reaching the Ido Front of the fifth layer and their encounter with the White Whistle Bondrewd. It also covers their efforts to reach the sixth layer and delves into Bondrewd's past, his experiments on Prushka, and the revelation of how White Whistles are created. "Gekijouban Soushuuhen Made in Abyss" (劇場版総集編メイドインアビス) is actually an alternative Japanese title for the first movie, "Journey's Dawn". These three movies are interconnected, collectively building the fantastic world and adventure of Made in Abyss, which includes many dark and brutal elements.
