Sorcerous Stabber Orphen (2020)

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen is a Japanese light novel series written by Yoshinobu Akita, first published in 1994. The story centers around Orphen (originally Krylancelo Finrandi), a former top student at the magic academy known as the Tower of Fang, who embarks on a journey to find a way to restore his sister, Azalie (originally Azalie Cait-Sith), who has been transformed into a dragon. In 2020, a new anime adaptation titled Sorcerous Stabber Orphen (2020) was released to commemorate the series' 25th anniversary. Produced by Studio Deen, this adaptation features a recast of the characters, except for Orphen's voice actor, Showtaro Morikubo. The new anime retells the original story and has been followed by multiple seasons including Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Battle of Kimluck (2021), Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Chaos in Urbanrama (2023), and Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Doom of Dragon's Sanctuary (2023). The new series aims to allow both new and longtime fans to experience Orphen's fantasy adventures, reliving or discovering this classic fantasy world. The charm of the original work has been preserved in the new adaptation, providing fans with fresh visual experiences and storytelling.
