Pop Team Epic TV Special

The Pop Team Epic TV Special is a special episode of the Pop Team Epic anime series, which aired on April 1, 2019. This special includes episodes 13 and 14 and was broadcast in four different versions across four platforms: Tokyo MX (Blue Dragon ver.), Nico Nico Douga (Vermilion Bird ver.), Abema TV Anilive (White Tiger ver.), and Abema TV Pop Team Epic Channel (Black Tortoise ver.). Each version features a unique combination of voice actors. Pop Team Epic is originally a four-panel manga by Bkub Okawa, known for its surreal comedy and parodies of popular culture. The anime continues this style, employing various animation techniques and bizarre scenarios, often breaking the fourth wall. The TV special also maintains this style, offering more eccentric and absurd humor. It is produced by Kamikaze Douga and distributed by King Records. The special is also notable for its unique cross-platform release and different voice casts, further exemplifying the experimental and unconventional style of Pop Team Epic.
