恋と嘘 一生の恋 / 恋の気持ち

"Love and Lies" is a Japanese manga created by Musawo. The story is set in the near future, where the government assigns marriage partners to teenagers at the age of 16 in order to increase the birth rate. The protagonist, Yukari Nejima, confesses his love to his long-time crush, Misaki Takasaki, before being assigned a partner by the government, and discovers that she also likes him. However, his assigned partner is another girl named Ririna Sanada. Ririna is not enthusiastic about being in an arranged marriage and is instead willing to let Yukari freely associate with Misaki in order to learn what real love is like. The story follows these teenagers as they navigate their relationships while trying to maintain appearances with the government. The manga was serialized on DeNA's Manga Box app and has been adapted into an anime and a live-action film. "Love and Lies" explores the concept of freedom in love under government intervention, and the conflict between personal feelings and social rules. The work has sparked contemplation among audiences about love and destiny through its unique setting and complex character relationships.
