"Future Card Buddyfight Ace" is a trading card game by Bushiroad, as well as a TV anime and manga series adapted from it. As a sequel to the "Future Card Buddyfight" series, it is set 23 years after the previous series and follows the story of Yuga Mikado, the son of the previous protagonist, Gao Mikado. Yuga is a young boy who loves "games" and is passionate about bringing joy to those around him through his own designed "games". Although his father is the legendary Buddyfighter Gao Mikado, and his mother is Paruko, a leading commentator and Buddyfighter, Yuga himself has little interest in Buddyfight. One day, through a series of events, Yuga comes into contact with Buddyfight, and embarks on a journey to become the strongest "Buddyfighter Ace". The anime series aired from June 2018 to April 2019, with a total of 47 episodes. While the anime series has concluded, the card game product line continued until August 2020. The series also has spin-offs such as manga and web novels.
