Isekai Cheat Magician

Isekai Cheat Magician (Japanese: 異世界チート魔術師, Isekai Chīto Majutsushi, lit. "Fantasy World Cheat Magician") is a Japanese light novel series written by Takeru Uchida and illustrated by Nardack. The series began as a web novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2012, and was later published in print by Shufunotomo beginning in 2013. The story follows ordinary high school students Taichi Nishimura and his childhood friend Rin Azuma, who are transported to a fantasy world called Altia. There, they discover they possess immense magical powers, becoming "cheat magicians." The narrative revolves around their adventures in this world of magic and peril, as they not only explore its secrets but also confront hidden threats and seek a way back to their original world. The series has also been adapted into manga and anime, and has a spin-off manga. "Isekai Cheat Magician" is popular for its typical isekai genre tropes, with protagonists possessing overpowered abilities.
