Conception

Conception is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Spike, initially released exclusively for the PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2012. The game was later remastered as Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars, released in 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Steam. The core gameplay revolves around the protagonist forming bonds with twelve Star Maidens and producing 'Star Children' through a special ritual to combat 'Impurities.' Players must cultivate relationships with these maidens to create stronger and more numerous Star Children. The series also includes a sequel, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars, and an anime adaptation based on the first game. The plot is set in a world called Granvania, where the protagonist is summoned as the 'God's Gift' tasked with saving the world. In addition to the games, Conception has spawned manga and anime adaptations and is known for its unique 'child-bearing' mechanic.
