"Real Girl," also known as "3D Kanojo: Real Girl," is a Japanese media franchise adapted from the manga series by Mao Nanami. It includes an anime television series, a live-action film, and the original manga. The story revolves around Hikari Tsutsui, a socially awkward high school otaku who prefers the two-dimensional world of video games and anime. He meets Iroha Igarashi, a beautiful and outgoing girl who is also an outcast. Despite their differences, Iroha confesses her feelings to Tsutsui, and their unlikely relationship begins. The narrative explores themes of social alienation, the clash between virtual and real worlds, and personal growth. The anime adaptation consists of two seasons, while the live-action film offers a different take on the original storyline. The core of the story lies in the characters' efforts to overcome their respective obstacles and learn to understand each other.
