"Amazing Stranger," also known as "Chou Kadou Girl 1/6," is a Japanese manga series created by ÖYSTER. The story revolves around Haruto Bouida, a hardcore otaku with no interest in 3D women, who purchases a figure of Nona, a character from his favorite anime, "Girls→Planetary Investigation." Surprisingly, the Nona figure comes to life, and a couple-like lifestyle begins between her and Haruto. The manga was originally serialized in Futabasha's seinen manga magazine "Comic High!" from 2012 to 2015, and later in "Monthly Action" magazine in 2015. It was adapted into a TV anime series titled "Over Drive Girl 1/6 - Amazing Stranger," produced by Studio A-CAT, which aired from April 6, 2019 to June 22, 2019, consisting of 12 episodes. The anime tells the quirky romantic comedy between Haruto and Nona, exploring otaku culture and the relationships between humans and non-humans. It has gained popularity for its unique premise and lighthearted humor, with some fans praising it as both a bit erotic and engaging.
