BattleClaw

BattleClaw is a Chinese-American animated series co-produced by UYoung and Mattel. The series is set in a world where the most popular game is "BattleClaw," a beast-fighting competition. The story follows a young hero named Tyee and his new teammates as they create powerful beasts to not only compete in the BattleClaw competition, but also to save the world from an ancient evil. Tyee dreams of becoming a BattleClaw champion, but his uncle refuses to train him. He then joins the newly formed 'Team Gogo' and begins an epic journey of learning the truth behind the game and discovering his destiny. In the animation, players use Energy Grapplers to capture creatures called 'Jinlins,' which are then combined to form powerful beasts for battle. Jinlins are divided into five elements: earth, fire, water, metal, and wood, and the combined elements of the Jinlins dictate the type of attacks that the combined beast can perform. The series premiered in Fall 2016 with 26 episodes, and can be found on platforms like YouTube. Though some fans suggest the show actually ran for three seasons, only the first season is currently available on YouTube.
