Joshi Kausei

Joshi Kausei (女子かう生), also known as The High School Girl, is a Japanese silent comedy manga series created by Ken Wakai. It has been serialized in Futabasha's digital publication Web Comic Action since 2013, and is published by Crunchyroll in the West. The manga centers around the daily lives of three high school girls: the innocent Mayumi Furui, the unlucky Momoko Futo, and the calm and collected Shibumi Shibusawa. The series is notable for its lack of dialogue, relying instead on visuals, sound effects, and the characters' body language to tell the story, creating a lighthearted and comedic atmosphere. As of now, the manga has 9 volumes and 81 chapters. In 2019, it was adapted into a 12-episode anime series, with each episode being approximately 3 minutes long, which can be viewed on Crunchyroll. The anime maintains the manga's silent style, using the characters' expressions and movements to convey comedic moments. Joshi Kausei has gained popularity for its unique storytelling and heartwarming slice-of-life narrative.
