中卒労働者から始める高校生活

"The Delayed High School Life of a Laborer" is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Minoru Sasaki. It began serialization in Nihon Bungeisha's Comic Heaven magazine in October 2012. The story follows 18-year-old factory worker Makoto Katagiri, who, in order to retaliate against those who mocked his middle school education, enters a correspondence high school, a “melting pot of people”, with his sister, Maya, who failed her high school entrance exams. There, he dramatically meets the beautiful young lady, Rio Aizawa, and embarks on a surreal, class-divided romantic comedy of youth. The manga depicts the protagonist's growth and love life in high school with realistic touches, also showcasing the diverse classmates and their respective stories. It was adapted into an original net animation in 2018 and aired on Production I.G's Anime Beans app. The manga currently has twenty volumes and is also published in English on Comico's Pocket Comics app.
