A Certain Scientific Accelerator

A Certain Scientific Accelerator (Japanese: とある科学の一方通行, Hepburn: Toaru Kagaku no Akuserarēta) is a Japanese manga series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Arata Yamaji. It is a spin-off of the A Certain Magical Index series. The manga was serialized in ASCII Media Works' monthly magazine Dengeki Daioh from December 2013 to July 2020. The story focuses on Accelerator, the most powerful Level 5 esper in Academy City. It follows Accelerator's adventures after his defeat by Kamijou Touma and a gunshot wound, where he is tasked with protecting a clone girl named Last Order and battling against nefarious organizations that threaten Academy City. In addition to the manga, a 12-episode anime television series adaptation by J.C.Staff aired from July to September 2019, adapting the first major story arc of the manga. A four-panel comedy spin-off manga, A Certain Idol Accelerator-sama, focusing on the characters as idols, was serialized from 2015 to 2018. The series has been licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment for English publication.
