Magical Sempai

"Magical Sempai" (手品先輩, Tejina Senpai) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Azu. It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Magazine from February 2016 to February 2021 and has been collected into eight tankōbon volumes. The story revolves around a high school girl, Sempai, who is passionate about magic but suffers from severe stage fright, causing her magic performances to be comically disastrous. A reluctant freshman student becomes her assistant, leading to a series of funny and somewhat risque situations within the magic club. The manga is known for its unique comedic style and slightly suggestive humor. Additionally, the manga was adapted into an anime television series by Liden Films, which aired from July to September 2019, featuring several short skits per episode. The anime faithfully captures the style of the manga and adds more dynamic elements.
