"Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious" (Japanese: 慎重勇者 ～この勇者が俺TUEEEくせに慎重すぎる～, Hepburn: Kono Yūsha ga Ore Tsuē Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru) is a Japanese light novel series written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota. The story follows the goddess Ristarte who summons Seiya Ryuuguuin, a hero with exceptional abilities, to save the super hard-mode world of Gaeabrande. However, Seiya is an incredibly cautious hero, going to extreme lengths to prepare for any eventuality. He buys three sets of armor (one to wear, one spare, and one spare for the spare) and uses full power against weak slimes. This excessive caution, while frustrating to others, becomes his unique way of saving the world. The series began serialization online in June 2016 and was later published by Fujimi Shobo. It has been adapted into a manga and a popular anime television series that aired in 2019, praised for its humor and subversion of typical isekai tropes.
