It's set in a post-apocalyptic world divided into three main realms: the human-inhabited “Hole”, the realm of Sorcerers, and the realm of Devils. The manga is known for its unique blend of dark humor, graphic violence, and meticulously detailed backgrounds. Originally serialized in "Monthly Ikki" starting in 2000, it later moved to "Monthly Shōnen Sunday," concluding in 2018 with 23 tankobon volumes. Besides the manga, it was adapted into an anime series produced by MAPPA and distributed globally on Netflix in 2020.
