Bakumatsu Crisis is the second season of the anime "BAKUMATSU". Set in the turbulent Bakumatsu era, it follows Takasugi Shinsaku and Katsura Kogorou's quest to destroy the mysterious "timepiece" that the government aims to use to control time. However, after obtaining the timepiece, it is stolen by a mysterious figure, forcing them to pursue him to Kyoto. Upon arrival, they discover the government has been overthrown, replaced by the deity Susanoo. The city is vastly different from their memory, prompting Takasugi and Katsura to reset time to save their nation. In the second season, the timepiece develops its own will, causing it to go out of control, and new adversaries emerge. Produced by Studio Deen, it aired from April to June 2019, totaling 12 episodes. This anime is adapted from FuRyu's mobile game but focuses on sci-fi action-adventure rather than the romance of the game.
