Kochoki

Kochoki: Wakaki Nobunaga, also known as Gorgeous Butterfly: Young Nobunaga, is an original anime television series produced by Studio Deen. It aired in Japan from July to September 2019, comprising 12 episodes. The anime depicts the teenage years of Oda Nobunaga, from around the time of his coming-of-age ceremony to the period of his succession struggles against his younger brother, Nobuyuki. The story takes creative liberties with historical events, focusing on young Nobunaga's battles with inheritance, betrayal, and war, as well as the bonds he forges with his loyal followers. The character designs were created by Atsuko Nakajima, who also worked on 'Hakuoki'. The narrative highlights Nobunaga's journey from a youth to a powerful lord later known as the 'Demon King'. It explores his relationships with key individuals around him. The anime was broadcast on multiple networks, including AT-X and Tokyo MX, and it was simulcast in North America by FunimationNow. It's noted for its fresh take on a historical figure and the emotional struggles of its characters.
