Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S (Japanese: 小林さんちのメイドラゴンS) is the second season of the anime series Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, produced by Kyoto Animation and aired from July to September 2021. The story continues from the first season, depicting the everyday life of programmer Kobayashi and the dragon maid Tohru, along with other dragons in the human world. Tohru continues her quest to become the greatest maid, while Kanna is fully immersed in her life as an elementary school student. The Kobayashi household is never dull, filled with daily mischief. However, one day, a massive landslide is spotted on the hill where Kobayashi and Tohru first met—a clear display of a dragon's might. When none of the known dragons claim responsibility, the perpetrator descends from the skies: Ilulu, a radical Chaos Dragon with power rivaling that of Tohru. Sickened by Tohru's involvement with humans, Ilulu resorts to the typical dragon method of resolving conflict—a battle to the death. Yet, she becomes intrigued by Kobayashi's ability to befriend dragons and decides to observe what makes Kobayashi so special. With a new troublesome dragon in town, Kobayashi's eccentric life with a dragon maid becomes even more lively. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S retains the lighthearted and comedic style of the first season, while introducing new characters and plot points, bringing more joy to the audience.
