Tsugumomo (継つぐもも) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Hamada, which began serialization in 2007. The story revolves around Kazuya Kagami, an ordinary boy whose most prized possession is his late mother's obi sash. One day, the obi transforms into a beautiful tsukumogami named Kiriha. Kazuya then learns that he is a 'Taboo Child' who attracts supernatural forces and is ordered by the land god Kukuri to become an exorcist and fight against evil. To learn more about these supernatural beings, Kazuya and his friends form a counselor's club at school. The story follows Kazuya and Kiriha as they battle against evil forces such as the Amasogi. The manga was later adapted into an anime series, with the first season airing in 2017 and the second season, Tsugu Tsugumomo, airing in 2020. Additionally, there is an OVA and mini anime series. Tsugumomo blends action, fantasy, comedy, and harem elements, as Kazuya fights against various tsukumogami and yokai to protect his city. The series is also noted for its unique character designs and vibrant battle sequences.
