Super Crooks (Japanese: スーパー・クルックス) is a Japanese-American original net anime series produced by Bones, based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu. It premiered on Netflix on November 25, 2021. The series follows small-time crook Johnny Bolt as he recruits a team of eight super-villains to pull off a super-powered heist. The first nine episodes serve as a prequel to the comic book series, with the last three adapting the comic outright. The series serves as a spin-off to Jupiter's Legacy and is set in the same fictional universe. It is directed by Motonobu Hori, with scripts by Dai Satō and Tsukasa Kondo. The music is composed by Towa Tei. Super Crooks is known for its fast-paced action, distinct visual style, and humorous deconstruction of superheroes and villains. It explores themes of crime, friendship, and the complexities of navigating a morally grey world.
