Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation is a Japanese anime television series produced by David Production, based on the Hyperdimension Neptunia video game series. The story is set in the world of Gamindustri, where four goddesses rule four nations: Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox. These nations vie for shares, the source of the goddesses' power. However, realizing the conflict would weaken their countries, the goddesses signed a Friendship Treaty forbidding the forceful seizure of shares. This treaty ushered in a new era, where the goddesses and their younger sisters navigate their relationships with laughter, disputes, and cooperation. The anime follows Neptune and her friends' adventures in Gamindustri, featuring new locations and Ultra Dimension characters. It's known for its parody of the video game industry, humor, and portrayal of character relationships. The series aired in Japan from July to September 2013 and was licensed by Funimation for distribution in North America.
