The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of the Gods (Japanese: 七つの大罪 神々の逆鱗, Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin) is the third season of The Seven Deadly Sins anime television series, based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. This season was animated by Studio Deen, taking over from A-1 Pictures which animated the first two seasons. The plot continues from where the previous season left off, depicting the Seven Deadly Sins embarking on new adventures to confront emerging threats after repelling the Demon Clan's invasion. In this season, they face not only the resurrected Ten Commandments but also the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan, along with new enemies that surface. The story also delves deeper into the pasts of the Seven Deadly Sins members and their complex relationships. Additionally, it covers the fall of King Arthur's homeland, Camelot, and the mysteries surrounding it. Notably, Meliodas even turns to the dark side, becoming a member of the Demon Clan, which makes the battle for the Seven Deadly Sins even more challenging. To prevent Meliodas from becoming the new Demon King, the Seven Deadly Sins exert all their efforts, engaging in fierce battles. One of the features of this season is the decline in animation quality and the jumps in the storyline, but despite this, it remains an integral part of The Seven Deadly Sins series.
