Val x Love (戦×恋), also known as Ikusa x Koi, is a Japanese manga series created by Ryosuke Asakura. It was serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine from December 2015 to March 2023. The story revolves around Takuma Akutsu, a high school student with a frightening face who suffers from social anxiety. He is chosen by Odin to save the world and must form romantic relationships with nine Valkyrie sisters from Asgard to boost their powers against demons. The manga combines action, romance, and harem elements. An anime adaptation produced by Hoods Entertainment aired from October to December 2019. The anime faithfully portrays the manga's storyline, depicting Takuma's daily life with the Valkyries and their battles. The series gained attention for its unique premise and fan service. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North American distribution and streamed it on Hidive.
