"Kengan Ashura" is a Japanese manga series written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. The story is set in gladiator arenas that have existed since the Edo period, where wealthy business owners and merchants hire gladiators for no-holds-barred combat, with the winner taking all. The protagonist, Tokita Ohma, nicknamed "Ashura," attracts the attention of various powers due to his extraordinary fighting abilities and gets caught up in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament that decides power. The anime adaptation of "Kengan Ashura," produced by LARX Entertainment, premiered on Netflix in two parts in 2019. The first part of the second season was released in September 2023, and the second part, consisting of 16 episodes, is scheduled to air in August 2024. The second season of the anime will cover the remaining story of the original manga until the end of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. Furthermore, a crossover anime movie titled "Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura" was released on Netflix in June 2024.
