The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History`s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants

"The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History's Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants" (Japanese: 魔王学院の不適合者 ～史上最強の魔王の始祖、転生して子孫たちの学校へ通う～), often shortened to "The Misfit of Demon King Academy," is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu. The story follows Anos Voldigoad, a powerful Demon King from the distant past who, tired of endless war, sacrifices himself hoping to be reborn in a peaceful future. Two thousand years later, he reincarnates to find that magic has declined drastically and his descendants have become weak. To reclaim his rightful place, Anos enrolls in the Demon King Academy, an institution meant to identify the reincarnated Demon King, only to be labeled a "misfit" due to the discrepancy between his true self and the fabricated history of the Demon King. Determined to expose those who distorted his past and have his descendants acknowledge his return, Anos embarks on a journey filled with action, fantasy, and comedy. The series is known for its overpowered protagonist and unconventional plot, and has been adapted into both manga and anime.
