It premiered in mainland China on July 21, 2019, produced by Tencent, and is adapted from Tiancan Tudou's eponymous fantasy novel, "Battle Through the Heavens." The plot follows Xiao Yan, accompanied by Yao Lao, as he travels to the Tagor Desert inhabited by the Snake-People tribe to seize a different fire. Along the way, he stumbles into an oasis and is pursued by Yue Mei, a Snake-People master. At a critical moment, a masked Dou Huang comes to his rescue. Subsequently, Xiao Yan and the masked Dou Huang's party get caught in the battle for the different fire. Queen Medusa rejects Gu He's trading terms and is exposed as just an energy form. The real queen is preparing to devour the different fire and evolve into a Dou Zong. The Snake-People attack Gu He and his party, and Xiao Yan senses the different fire's location amidst the chaos, eventually infiltrating the queen's hideout on the heart of the island. The series was nominated for Best Adapted Domestic Animation at the “2020 Screenwriters' Night” animation unit in November 2020.
