Pretty Boy Detective Club

Pretty Boy Detective Club (Japanese: 美少年探偵団, Hepburn: Bishōnen Tanteidan), also known as the Bishōnen Series, is a Japanese mystery novel series written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Kinako. Originally conceived as a group within the Bōkyaku Tantei series, it was later developed into an independent series. The story revolves around the Pretty Boy Detective Club, an unofficial organization of five strikingly handsome boys operating within the Yubiwa Academy, who solve cases based on their aesthetic preferences rather than financial gain. Mayumi Doujima, a second-year middle school student, seeks the club's help in finding a star she saw ten years ago, which leads them into various mysteries. The series has been adapted into a manga illustrated by Suzuka Oda and an anime television series produced by Shaft. The anime aired from April to June 2021. The series is known for its unique narrative style and character design, blending elements of youth, mystery, and fantasy.
