Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!

Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! (アズールレーン びそくぜんしんっ!) is a Japanese yonkoma (4-panel) manga series and its anime adaptation based on the Chinese mobile game Azur Lane. The manga, written and illustrated by Hori, began serialization in Ichijinsha's Manga 4-koma Palette magazine in 2018. The anime, co-produced by Yostar Pictures and Candy Box, aired from January to March 2021. The story centers around four initial destroyer characters from the game—Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, and Z23—and depicts their daily life in the peaceful Azur Lane port, filled with lighthearted school and everyday comedic situations. Unlike the battle-focused elements of the main game, Slow Ahead! emphasizes character interactions and heartwarming slice-of-life stories, offering players and viewers a relaxed and enjoyable way to experience the world of Azur Lane. The series is well-received for its unique humor and adorable character designs, and a second season of the anime has been announced.
