This season continues the story from the first, using the Ming Dynasty as a backdrop and depicting the conflicts and grudges between cultivators and demons. The animation is noted for its unique Xianxia setting, magical talismans and techniques, and exquisite visuals. The second season shows improvement in production, with a tighter narrative pace and more well-developed characters.
