"World's End Harem" (Japanese: 終末のハーレム, Hepburn: Shūmatsu no Hāremu) is a Japanese manga series written by LINK and illustrated by Kotaro Shono. Set in the near future, the story revolves around a deadly virus called the 'MK (Man Killer) Virus' that has wiped out 99.9% of the world's male population. The protagonist, Reito Mizuhara, awakens from cryosleep after five years to find a world dominated by women, where he and other surviving men are tasked with participating in a breeding program to repopulate the world. The manga began serialization on Shueisha's online magazine Shōnen Jump+ on May 8, 2016, and concluded on May 7, 2023. The series has also inspired two spin-off manga series, "World's End Harem: Fantasia" and "World's End Harem: Britannia Lumiére," as well as audio dramas, a VR game, and an anime television series. "World's End Harem" has garnered attention for its unique harem premise and post-apocalyptic setting, but has also generated some controversy due to its content. The anime's first season aired from January to March 2022.
