EDENS ZERO

Edens Zero is a Japanese science fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from June 2018 to June 2024, with 33 collected tankōbon volumes. The story is set in a fictional spacefaring universe, following Shiki Granbell, a boy with gravity powers, who embarks on a voyage aboard the starship Edens Zero in search of a cosmic entity called Mother. The manga was published digitally in six other languages alongside its Japanese release. An anime television series adaptation by J.C.Staff aired from April to October 2021, with a second season airing from April to October 2023. Konami has also announced a video game adaptation for release in 2025. The plot follows Shiki and his companions as they traverse the cosmos in pursuit of their dreams and goals, overcoming obstacles and unraveling universal mysteries. Shiki possesses the power to control gravity, and together with B-Cuber (video blogger) Rebecca and the cat-like robot Happy who can transform into guns, they embark on an adventure where they meet many friends and allies. The story also incorporates elements of parallel universes, time travel, and explores the complex relationship between machines and humans. The Edens Zero itself is an important element, serving not just as the protagonists' spaceship but as a vessel with profound secrets. Ultimately, the main characters will face numerous challenges, including battling evil forces, discovering the true identity of "Mother", and saving the universe.
