Set in the fictional city of S in 2047, the anime follows the inspiring story of four girls with different backgrounds—Liu Xingyu, Yi Ti, Huai Si, and Anna Lina—who participate in the Project 48 idol group audition. They progress from being "standby for standbys" to becoming official members and eventually form the performance unit "Infinite 48." The anime aired on Tencent Video from April 8 to June 17, 2020, with a total of 12 episodes. The main voice actors include Ye Zhi Qiu, Shan Xin, Ji Guan Lin, and Xiao Lian Sha, with some SNH48 members also contributing. It is considered a 2D promotional piece for the 48 idol group, sparking discussion about character development and plot. The opening theme is "Infinite 48 OST." Furthermore, STAR48 also arranged for the four main characters to form a virtual idol group called "May We VIV" (also known as "SNH48 Team VI"), which debuted on the same day as the anime premiere.
