Cardfight!! Vanguard Overdress

"Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress" is an anime series derived from the Bushiroad card game "Cardfight!! Vanguard," and it serves as the 10th-anniversary project for the series. Also known as the "D Series," it introduces new characters and a world, along with new card mechanics and gameplay rules. The animation is a collaboration between Kinema Citrus, GIFTanimation, and STUDIOJEMI, with character designs by CLAMP. The story revolves around Yu-yu Kondo, a boy who can sense others' feelings, as he joins the "Blackout" team and immerses himself in the world of card battles. The series premiered in 2021 and aired in split cours. It was followed by sequels "Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress" and "Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez." In terms of game rules, the original 24 clans were streamlined into 6 nations, and a new "Standard" (D Standard) format was introduced. A new style was used in the animation to showcase card fight scenes to give the audience a new viewing experience.
