Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a 2021 original net animation miniseries produced by TMS Entertainment and animated by Quebico, based on Capcom's Resident Evil video game series. Set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, the series takes place in 2006. After a hacking incident at the White House, Leon S. Kennedy is ordered to investigate, only to encounter a mysterious zombie attack there. Meanwhile, Claire Redfield investigates a strange drawing made by a child refugee while working on a TerraSave mission in the fictional South Asian republic of Penamstan. The four-episode series delves into political intrigue, corporate espionage, and the harsh realities of war, while maintaining the horror and tension of the Resident Evil franchise. It premiered globally on Netflix on July 8, 2021, and was released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 21 of the same year. 'Infinite Darkness' production aimed for ultra-realistic animation, from character expressions to environmental effects, and aimed to maintain consistency with the classic storylines and world of Resident Evil.
