アイカツプラネット!

Aikatsu Planet! (アイカツプラネット!) is an arcade collectible card game by Bandai and the fifth installment in the Aikatsu! series. Launched in December 2020, it differs from previous entries by using collectible "swing cards" for idol battle stages. The series also has a hybrid live-action Tokusatsu drama/anime television adaptation by BN Pictures, which aired from January to June 2021. The story follows Mao Otoha, a normal high school student who takes the place of the suddenly disappeared Meisa Hinata and transforms into Hana, the top idol in "Aikatsu Planet!," a virtual world. Mao uses swing cards imbued with Dressia, dress fairies, to change outfits and engage in intense battles with rivals. Along with her best friend Shiori Motoya, model Ruli Tamaki, and senior Kyoko Umekoji, she aims to become a top idol. The show combines live-action scenes of the real world with 2D animation and 3DCG animation for the virtual world. In July 2022, the movie "Aikatsu Planet! The Movie" was released.
