俺, つしま

Ore, Tsushima (俺、つしま, 'I'm Tsushima the Cat') is a Japanese manga series created by Opūnokyōdai. It began serialization on Twitter in July 2017 and has since been published in tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan. The story revolves around a stray cat named Tsushima and an elderly cat-loving 'Grandpa' (who is actually a woman), and their daily life. Tsushima, a defiant tabby cat, shares his life with 'Grandpa' and other cats such as the mature 'Zun-nee-san', the spoiled 'Cha', and the solitary 'Osamu' who occasionally visits. The manga is known for its detailed observation of cat life and its humorous writing style. In 2021, the manga was adapted into both a TV anime and an original net animation (ONA), further expanding its reach. The anime features Akio Otsuka as the voice of Tsushima and Mayumi Tanaka as the voice of 'Grandpa'. The series has been well-received for its lighthearted pacing and its genuine love for cats.
