Rumble Garanndoll

Rumble Garanndoll (逆転世界ノ電池少女), is an original Japanese anime television series animated by Lerche. The story is set in 2019, just before the dawn of a new era, when a rift to another dimension suddenly appears in the sky over Japan, revealing an alternative world "Shinkoku Nippon," where the sky and the earth are upside down. This parallel world maintains its former militarism, with its era being Eternal Showa. They invade the real Japan using giant humanoid robots called "Garann" and gas weapons called "Genmu", rendering modern weapons ineffective. Shinkoku Nippon quickly seizes the government and achieves de facto conquest of Japan. The new era, "Reiwa," has not arrived in Japan. Ten years later, in a Japan under strict censorship, subcultures like manga, anime, and idols seem to have completely died out, but a group called "Otaku is not dead" emerges. They, along with a secret organization called "Arahabaki" and girls known as "Battery Girls" who power mecha called "Garanndoll," strive to protect subculture. Battery Girls are the power source and support system for Garanndoll, their "dokimeki" (heart-throbbing) state directly affecting the mecha's performance. When their "dokimeki" is depleted, they require mental care and "charging."
