The Dawn of the Witch

"The Dawn of the Witch" (Mahōtsukai Reimeiki) is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Kakeru Kobashiri and illustrated by Takashi Iwasaki, with partial character designs by Yoshinori Shizuma. It is a spin-off sequel to Kobashiri's earlier series "Grimoire of Zero." The story follows Saybil, a magic school student who has lost his memory. He is sent on special training by the school headmaster, Albus, to a region where anti-witch sentiment is strong. Accompanied by the Dawn Witch, Roux Cristasse, and others, Saybil must establish a village of witches. They face challenges such as avoiding former members of a witch-hunting group and utilizing their magical abilities. The light novel series has been published by Kodansha since August 2018, and it has also been adapted into a manga and an anime series. The anime, produced by Tezuka Productions, aired from April to July 2022. This series is known for its compelling characters and engaging fantasy narrative.
