Perfect World Co., Ltd. (referred to as Perfect World) was established in 1999 and is headquartered in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The company's business spans three major sectors: film and television, games, and esports. Perfect World Games was officially founded in 2004, known for its self-developed 3D engine and content drawn from Chinese traditional culture such as the "Classic of Mountains and Seas". The launch of the game "Perfect World" was a major success. Perfect World Games was listed on NASDAQ in the United States in 2007, and later privatized in 2015. Perfect World Pictures was established in 2008 and listed on the A-share market in 2014. In 2016, Perfect World Global successfully injected Perfect World Games into the listed company through the issuance of shares to purchase assets, forming the current Perfect World.
