令和のデ・ジ・キャラット

Reiwa no Di Gi Charat is a mini-anime series created to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the Di Gi Charat franchise, which began airing on October 7, 2022. The story is set with Dejiko, the princess from Planet Di Gi Charat, and her younger sister Puchiko coming to Earth, while Usada becomes a high school student, and the Black Gema Gema Corps continue their evil activities. In addition to these familiar characters, the series introduces new characters like Broccodess, the goddess of Broccoli Co., Ltd., and Bushiro-chan, the guardian deity of Bushiroad Inc. The new animation continues the nonsensical style of the Di Gi Charat series and retains the original voice cast. The production has also shifted from Broccoli to Bushiroad, founded by the former Broccoli owner, with Broccoli participating as a collaborator. Besides the new anime, "Reiwa no Di Gi Charat" has launched an official YouTube channel where Dejiko acts as a virtual YouTuber, alongside numerous merchandise and manga projects. The series aims to attract both new and old audiences while revisiting the unique charm of Di Gi Charat.
