Digimon Ghost Game

Digimon Ghost Game (Japanese: デジモンゴーストゲーム) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation, and the ninth anime series in the Digimon franchise. The series aired on Fuji TV from October 2021 to March 2023. Set in the near future, where advanced technology is prevalent, rumors circulate on social networks about strange phenomena caused by beings known as "Hologram Ghosts". Hiro Amanokawa, a middle school freshman, activates a mysterious device called the Digivice -V- left by his father, allowing him to see Digimon, creatures invisible to ordinary people. After encountering Gammamon, a mischievous Digimon entrusted to him by his father, Hiro gets caught up in various strange events. A man with a sewn mouth steals time from humans, a mummy kidnaps humans at night—the Hologram Ghosts are targeting people. Hiro, alongside his friends Ruli Tsukiyono and Angoramon, and later Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai and Jellymon, explores the mysterious world where these Digimon live. The series is notable for its darker tone and horror elements, a first for the Digimon franchise. It primarily follows an episodic format, with each episode featuring new Digimon appearing as "ghosts" and causing peculiar incidents.
