The work is popular for its unique character settings and modern interpretations of traditional myths. It was later adapted into an animation with a theme song sung by Luo Tianyi, which was broadcast on multiple video platforms including Tencent Video and Bilibili. The animation is also widely loved for its faithful recreation of the manga and its humorous style. The comic and animation revolve around characters like the nine-tailed fox Jiuyue, the third prince of the West Sea Dragon King Aolie, Nezha, and Guanyin, each having unique personalities and modern-day struggles. An official mobile game, "Fei Ren Zai Ace Employee," has also been launched.
