Management of a Novice Alchemist

"Management of a Novice Alchemist" (Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei) is a Japanese light novel series written by Mizuho Itsuki and illustrated by Fuumi. The story follows Sarasa Feed, a young orphan who, after graduating from the Royal Alchemist Academy, opens a shop in a remote frontier town to fulfill her dream of becoming an independent alchemist. Expecting an elegant and wealthy life, she finds her shop dilapidated and the surroundings dangerous. Despite this, Sarasa is determined to work hard and become the greatest alchemist. The series began serialization online in November 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō and was later acquired by Fujimi Shobo, who have published it under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint since September 2019. It has also been adapted into a manga illustrated by kirero, serialized online since December 2020 via Comic Valkyrie website. An anime television series adaptation by ENGI aired from October to December 2022 with 12 episodes. The story focuses on Sarasa’s daily life as an alchemist and her business management, depicting her warm adventures with her companions as they overcome obstacles in pursuit of their dreams.
