Ancient Girl`s Frame

Ancient Girl's Frame (闘神機ジーズフレーム), also known as Dou Shen Ji, is a Japanese-Chinese original net animation series produced by Seven Stone Studios. The series premiered in Chinese on streaming platforms like Youku Tudou and Bilibili on October 11, 2021, and on Japanese television on Tokyo MX the following day. It is licensed in North America by Funimation. Set in the late 21st century, the discovery of "DG energy" (short for "divine grace energy") revolutionized Earth's economy and enabled space colonization. However, the initial expedition to Pluto was attacked by the mysterious giant life-form known as "Nergal." The Earth Alliance Army retaliated by forming the "AG Unit" using ancient robot weapons called "G's Frame" unearthed from archaeological sites worldwide. Girls with special abilities, known as "Ancient Girls," pilot these robots against the Nergal. The first AG Unit suffered heavy losses in the Jupiter Trojan campaign, and pilot Reiu Minamiya of Unit 04 went missing. Years later, Reiu's younger sister, Reika Minamiya, against her family's wishes, enlists in the AG Unit to find her sister and protect Earth from the Nergal. The story unfolds with themes of friendship, ancient robot weaponry, and intense battles against the Nergal. The anime consists of 12 episodes.
