Kakegurui Twin

Kakegurui Twin is a spin-off and prequel to Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler. The story focuses on Mary Saotome, a year before the main story, as she transfers to Hyakkaou Private Academy and navigates its gambling-based hierarchy. She quickly adapts to the school's rules and becomes addicted to gambling. The manga, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki, was serialized in Gangan Joker from September 2015 to May 2023, with 15 tankōbon volumes. It was also adapted into an original net animation (ONA) by MAPPA, released on Netflix in August 2022. The anime depicts Mary's journey from an ordinary girl to a skilled gambler, her interactions with the student council, and her relationship with her childhood friend, Tsuzura Hanatemari. The series showcases Hyakkaou Academy's gambling system and the fierce competition among students for status and wealth.
