"Shoot! Goal to the Future" is an original anime series adapted from the Japanese manga series "Shoot!" by Tsukasa Ooshima. Produced by EMT Squared and Magic Bus Inc., the anime aired in Japan from July 2 to September 24, 2022, with a total of 13 episodes. The story revolves around Atsushi Kamiya, a former captain of the Kakegawa High School soccer team and now a world-renowned "courageous captain" for a famous Italian soccer team, and Hideto Tsuji, a student at Kakegawa High who seems uninterested in the current weakened soccer team. Their meeting sparks the beginning of a new legend. Noriyuki Nakamura directed the anime, with Yukiko Akiyama as the character designer and Mitsutaka Hirota handling series composition. The themes of the series include soccer, teamwork, and personal growth, blending elements of sports, inspiration, and friendship. This anime serves as a sequel to the 1993 anime "Aoki Densetsu Shoot!" but presents a completely new storyline. It represents a fresh interpretation of the "Shoot!" series, appealing to both new and long-time fans.
