うる星やつら (2022)

Urusei Yatsura (2022) is a Japanese anime television series produced by David Production, based on the manga of the same name by Rumiko Takahashi. It is the second anime adaptation of the manga, following the 1981 series. The show aired on Fuji TV's Noitamina block from October 2022 to June 2024, for a total of 46 episodes across two seasons. The story follows Ataru Moroboshi and the alien Oni princess Lum in a whimsical romantic comedy. Ataru is chosen to represent Earth in a game of tag against the Oni, which he wins, leading Lum to mistakenly believe he's proposed to her. Thus begins their chaotic cohabitation. The series faithfully adapts the original manga while introducing new elements, appealing to both new and old fans. The production team and voice cast are completely new, providing a fresh experience. The plot selects classic chapters from the manga, animating them in a two-story format per episode, keeping a fast pace and full of humor. Urusei Yatsura (2022) is not only a tribute to the classic manga, but also a sincere work for the new generation of anime viewers.
