Alice Gear Aegis Expansion is a TV anime spin-off of Alice Gear Aegis, produced by Nomad and directed by Hirokazu Hanai. It aired from April 4, 2023, to June 20, 2023. The story is set in the future where mankind was forced to abandon Earth after an invasion by a mechanical alien race known as the "Vice". Humanity now resides in starships made from the fragments of the shattered moon. Their last hope lies with young women known as "Actresses," who possess the ability to wield the only weapons capable of harming the Vice: "Alice Gears". The anime's story takes place after the events of the main game's "Aki Operation" and focuses on the daily lives of Narukozaka Manufacturing and the arrival of a new character, Nodoka Takahata. It also presents a parallel world setting that differs from the game's main story. In addition to the main plot, the anime incorporates lighthearted slice-of-life elements and real-world location references.
